Susan Jeffers, Ph.D.

Few people have helped change as many lives as much-loved author and leading self-help authority Susan Jeffers, Ph.D., who first captured the world's heart over twenty five years ago with her acclaimed book Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway®.

In 2004, the Times of the U.K. named Susan "the Queen of Self-Help," ranking her alongside such influential leaders as Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama and Deepak Chopra. A year earlier, the popular spiritual consciousness magazine Kindred Spirit gave Susan the award for writing the Best Personal Development Book of the year: Embracing Uncertainty.As well as being a celebrated workshop leader and public speaker, she has been a guest on a multitude of international radio and television shows.

Susan is best known for her teachings on overcoming fear, healing relationships, and moving forward in life with a sense of confidence and love. Susan has taught Feel the Fear courses and workshops in many countries around the world to small groups and audiences of thousands, as well as to corporate management and employees in a variety of industries.It was the demand for workshops that prompted her to start licensing qualified trainers to teach workshops in her stead.This programme of licensing trainers began in 2007 and expanded rapidly with the realization that its application in the corporate world would provide a unique approach to training management and employees.

Susan's warmth and humor, her acute insight, her humanness and an ongoing willingness to share openly from her own life all combine to create an exceptionally profound relationship between Susan and her readers.

Susan received her master's degree and doctorate in psychology from Columbia University.She lived in Los Angeles, California with her husband, Mark Shelmerdine until her untimely death on October 27th, 2012.

Marcia Jeffers

As Chief Marketing Officer at Sills Cummis & Gross for the past 16 years, Marcia Jeffers has been involved in all aspects of marketing and business development. Her team garnered 2 national awards, and she was named a top CMO in a national ranking of private companies in 2012.

With a B.A. degree from NYU, an M.A. from Emerson College and a J.D. and LLM from Boston University School of Law, legal marketing was a perfect fit. It allowed her to combine her communications skills and legal training in the best possible way.

She is frequently asked to speak and was recently interviewed on radio programs both in the United States and the United Kingdom talking about the best-selling book Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway (15 million copies sold), written by her late sister, Dr. Susan Jeffers.

She recently spoke and conducted a workshop at the Cardozo School of Law, Graduate & International Program, for international attorneys studying for an advanced LLM degree focusing on her sister's books, Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway and Embracing Uncertainty.

Mark Shelmerdine, Co-Founder of Feel the Fear Training

Since 1972, Mark Shelmerdine has been active as an entrepreneur on both sides of the Atlantic.Prior to co-founding Feel the Fear Training and Jeffers Press, he was Executive Vice President of E Team, a Web-based software company that he founded with two partners in 1995 and successfully financed through three rounds of venture financing. Between 1972 and 1995, Mark Shelmerdine was the owner of London Films, a leading independent entertainment company based in London and Los Angeles. He also financed and managed several other businesses in the technology and new media sectors.Two of the technology companies that he founded and led during this time, SelecTV and Immediate Business Systems, had successful IPOs on the London Stock Exchange.

He qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in London in 1968. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
